Christmas, that time of year when people descend into the bunker of the family - Byron Rogers.
I have no idea if they’ve even heard of the Internet in my particular bunker, and even if they have, I’ll be too busy cooking a full turkey dinner for ten in a kitchen where not one of the knives has ever been sharpened.
Which will probably be just as well.
So this is my Chrismahanukwanza New Year card to you all:

(Photograph taken last December by my exceedingly talented husband).
And may all your sherry be dry.

Whatchyamacallit is good. I hope you have a good one and may a few lines of verse find their way to the surface of the very dry sherry. I am away from my tawny ports because I am in a “dry” community and I don’t even have any good cheeses. I may find some words despite this lack
May we see more of your talented husband’s photography?

Practically every photograph on this blog is courtesy of Talented Husband (see all the rather jolly ones of Ireland back in June).
Huge commiserations on the lack of good cheese. Traumatic, that.

I hope you have a Happy Festive Season, Reed! I love that photo. I’m sure your turkey dinner will be delicious, too.

Lovely photo.
The staff choir at the staff carol service included a few people from ‘other’ faiths as well as a couple of outspoken athiests. I thought that was rather lovely, really. I hope I would be as prepared to get involved if I was invited to something connected with one of the many other festivals at this time of year. I wouldn’t be doing any worshipping, but being present and engaged would be interesting, supportive, fun and broadening. Or something.
Merry things to you, Reed!
